Nive Forms solution has received a new layout and new features that make creating, managing, and using forms easier than ever.
Defining form availability
It is now possible to define a period in the form settings during which a form is available to users in the form settings.
You can define:
- Opening date and time
- Closing date and time
When the defined period ends, the form automatically closes and is no longer available to users. This makes it easier to manage, for example, time-limited surveys and other time-limited forms.
Predefined properties
You can now define M-Files properties in advance in the form settings. These are static values that are automatically saved with all responses submitted through the form.
The person filling out the form does not need to enter these values separately, which simplifies form completion and reduces manual data entry.
RegEx for text fields
RegEx rules can now be defined for text fields, allowing more specific conditions to be set for the information entered by the user.
These rules determine what type of information can be entered in the field. For example, a text field can be configured as a personal identity code field to improve data security.
This allows the accuracy of the entered information to be checked while the form is completed.
Support for multiple Form portals
The Nive Forms application has now support for multiple portals. Multi-portal support enables multiple different portals to be connected to a single M-Files vault. This makes it easier to manage forms across different environments.
Other new features
- Setting text fields as password fields, so that the entered text is hidden.
- Importing and exporting forms, making it easier to transfer and manage forms.
- Form preview, allowing the appearance and functionality of the form to be checked before publishing.
- reCAPTCHA verification, which helps prevent responses submitted by bots.
- Value list synchronization, which helps keep value list information up to date.
- URL- parameters, which allow additional information to be passed to the website
In addition, several smaller improvements have been made to enhance usability and make form management smoother.
